Minimum profile required
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
• Develop robust, scalable, and flexible solution architecture including:
o Preparing architecture roadmaps
o Delivering blueprints
o Designing prototypes
o Design proof of concepts
o Deliver Solution High Level Designs
o Assist with Solution Low Level Designs
• Design, based on extensive ICT knowledge and experience, an effective architecture, and its services, in line with organizational objectives and business requirements.
• Provide high-level expert technical advice on complex desktop & server environment, network topology, ICT infrastructure and applications to help position the solution effectively against competing vendors' offerings.
• Provide expert technical advice on the planning, implementation and maintenance of a robust and scalable architecture that will support the proposed solution and its future enhancements.
• Coordinate the identification and resolution of complex troubleshooting activities to ensure appropriate technical support to maintain essential services availability in line with agreed SLAs.
• Contribute to the development of ICT policies, procedures for the proposed architecture solution, in accordance with established policies, procedures and security requirements.
• Participate in team reviews of design artefacts and code, make changes as required, and recommend alternative solutions where appropriate.
Additional needed qualification, knowledge, and skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect in large and complex projects providing solution design services in line with organizational objectives and business requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the provision of specialist technical advice within IT environments comprising heterogeneous ICT technologies.
• At least one Architecture Certification (COBIT, TOGAF, …)
• Desirable: Security Certification (CompTIA Security +, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC).
• Strong skills in services design best practices, service performance monitoring and tuning, service interface specifications.
• Ability to identify technical issues, think laterally and apply analytical skills to develop appropriate options for resolution.
• Experience with IT Security (PKI, encryption, server hardening, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in designing highly available environments with multiple site support (Business continuity and disaster recovery planning technics, technologies, exercising and testing).
• Good knowledge of PKI infrastructure.
• Very good writing, including technical writing skills.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• Ability to actively participate in meetings, good communication skills.
• Ability to provide in depth as well as high-level technical presentations for different technical level stakeholders.
